Sala’s Camp Maasai Mara is a nature lover’s paradise. The sights and sounds of the wild alongside a wonderful feeling of ‘being away from it all permeate this lodge. Guests find it easy to unwind in the tranquil atmosphere of understated safari elegance. The main communal area of Sala’s Camp sits on the riverbank in the middle of the camp, commanding spectacular south-facing views over the Sand River and to the Tanzanian hills beyond. Here you’ll find an impressively large dining table cut from a single piece of fallen East African Rosewood found on Mount Kenya.
You’ll also find the Camp’s ‘watering hole’ here, filled with a selection of teas, coffee, water, fruit juices, and a fully stocked bar for you to help yourself whenever you need a refreshment. Sala’s Camp often uses the lawn space for delicious barbeque nights where our chefs cook up a storm in our customized wildebeest-shaped giant grill. A wooden veranda in front of the mess tent provides a peaceful al fresco dining space in which to enjoy the camp’s scrumptious cuisine whilst gazing out over the savannah.
