You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport very early in the morning and depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving at the gate for clearance and then embarking on a game drive. Amboseli National Park may be smaller than other Kenyan parks, but it packs a lot into a very small space.
For starters, the views here are astonishing because Africa's highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), looms over the park to the south. The mountain provides a backdrop to many fantastic wildlife sightings that almost always include elephants with huge tusks, as well as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests, and gazelles. Birders can also look for the park's 420 different recorded species. Later, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch at the observation hill with beautiful scenic views (at an extra cost). You'll proceed for an en-route drive as you join the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway arriving late in the evening with drop off at your hotel within Nairobi or at the airport.
